Empowering Education Through an MIF-Led School Tour with the Minister of Education in Byblos

July 2024 - On July 24th, 2024, MIF hosted Caretaker Minister of Education Judge Abbas El-Halabi for a visit to the Byblos region, which included a tour of MIF’s headquarters and several schools in Amchit and Byblos. Discussions focused on educational challenges and MIF’s ongoing efforts in the sector. During the visit, urgent renovation needs were identified at Amchit’s Public School, leading to a $10,000 pledge for repairs. MIF also committed to equipping a new classroom and refurbishing the computer lab at “Our Lady of the Rosary School” in Amchit. Additionally, MIF pledged support for extracurricular activities at a Byblos school.
