On August 17th, 2018, Patriarch Bechara Rai blessed the “Our Lady of the Seas” statue at Amchit Port, an MIF initiative symbolizing protection and unity for local fishermen. Accompanied by a choir-led Mass, the event attracted community members and officials. The statue strengthens community spirit and promotes tourism, while supporting the Fishermen’s Cooperative and honoring maritime heritage.
