To improve safety and security along the Amchit coastline and surrounding areas, MIF has established a Marine Rescue Unit for the Lebanese Civil Defense. Accordingly, MIF funded the construction of the premises, in addition to providing all the required tools and equipment necessary to ensure safe marine navigation and protect beachgoers by providing the unit with essential resources:
- Specialized Equipment: The unit features a specialized rescue and firefighting boat, an ambulance for rapid medical response, and advanced diving gear for all personnel.
- Enhanced Emergency Response: These assets significantly bolster the unit’s ability to handle marine emergencies and provide quick medical intervention, improving overall response times and effectiveness.
- Community Impact: By strengthening emergency response capabilities and safeguarding local marine activities, MIF creates a safer and more secure coastal environment for the community.
This project highlights MIF’s commitment to local development and public safety, contributing to a safer and more resilient coastal region in Amchit
