MIF sponsored “Street Festivals” in multiple towns and cities across Lebanon, including Gemmayze, Tripoli, Zgharta, Amchit, Kfaryassine, Beirut, Dhour Shweir, Damour, Ehden, Beit Merry, Deir El Amar, Anfeh, Douma, and additional locations through the end of December 2024.
These festivals are primarily designed to boost local economies across Lebanon by providing over 700 vendors and local producers with a valuable platform to reach a wider audience: stretched out over the course of the year and in different towns and cities in Lebanon, their visibility is considerably enhanced and their sales are significantly increased. Secondly, these festivals also aim to promote local tourism as they attract visitors from outside the local areas, stimulating economic activity and promoting local tourism. Thirdly, they fostered community engagement: the festivals created opportunities for social interaction and build community spirit, encouraging a shared sense of pride and cohesion among residents. Similarly, this project supports local suppliers by engaging local service providers, including electricity suppliers and entertainers, ensuring that the economic benefits are distributed throughout the community.
