Supporting Fishermen Cooperative of Amchit with a Solar Energy System

Dedicated to empowering the local Fishermen Cooperative in Amchit, MIF funded a sustainable solar energy solution, representing a significant step toward reducing the cooperative’s reliance on conventional power-generating sources and encouraging environmental practices within the community. Accordingly, MIF installed a solar energy system for the cooperative, providing it with a reliable and eco-friendly alternative all while supporting it in minimizing its operational costs and achieving long-term financial savings.

This project aligns with MIF’s broader environmental conservation goals. The adoption of solar energy contributed to the reduction in the cooperative’s carbon footprint, leading to a reduction in greenhouse gas emissions and promoting cleaner energy practices. Also, MIF aimed to enhance the resilience and self-sufficiency of Amchit’s fishing community. By providing a stable and independent energy source, the project strengthened the cooperative’s ability to operate sustainably and adapt to future challenges.
